One of the issues you should consider when waiting for OS 5 is that there are likely to be a number of third party programs that you use now that may not be upgraded to work properly with OS 5 when it is relaesed. Look at the Beta forum. There are a number of fairly common programs that are not yet compatible with the latest beta of OS 5. While it is likely that more programs will be become compatible by the time OS 5 is officially released, there are bound to be some, particularly from smaller vendors, which will not be upgraded to work with OS 5 at the time of its official launch.
I for one will not be upgrading to OS 5 on launch date, but will wait to make sure all my improtant 3rd party programs are compatible with OS 5.
I have used .282 without issue since shortly after it became a carrier sanctioned OS.
