where is the keyboard for iphone?

just saw a cool commercial with iphone...showing it play movies, music, photo, browse web, make phone calls, and email etc. it shows the user using his finger on the screen to move around.
on the email..how would user able to type? cuz i dont see a keyboard anywhere...just a screen. is there a built in keyboard hidden somewhere or it is an on screen keyboard?
