....Actually....The new Facebook and Twitter apps, as well as AppWorld all work with no data plan. They have since that last major outage. Was a quiet change RIM made after that.
So, download the latest AppWorld on the 9800 at
www.blackberry.com/appworld then download updated versions of Facebook and Twitter from Appworld.
