Default BB freezes when I try to set up email HELP!

HELP HELP HELP AND ONCE AGAIN PLEASE HELP!

A while ago I bought a second hand BB Torch 9800 and everything works perfect (it was almost new) but the email! This has me so frustrated because one of the things I used to adore from my previous BB (8900) was the fact of getting my emails (POP3 accounts) in my device... now it is impossible.

When ever I try to set up my email I can't get further than the screen where you can select to setup a POP3 account or an enterprise account. When ever I click the first option my telephone freezes or goes back to the previous screen. I have already ask for help in HI (my telephone provider) and they don't understand what's happening, apparently everything is in order in their system and it is unusual that everything else works perfect but this.

The only thing I can think of is that this telephone used to be from T-mobile and I understand it was "flashed" to make it "lock free", maybe something happened in the moment it happened.

EXPERTS HELP WHAT CAN I DO? I PAYED 275 EU for this second hand telephone and the application I needed the most is not working.

(I tried to contact the seller and he literally told me to "screw up" because I already purchased it.. scary man btw :( )
