need help : can't send files using bluetooth

hello,
when i go through the media or ringtones ..
and i press the menu on a specific ringtone and i see "send using bluetooth"
when i choose that It shows only the users i paired with.
how can i do a search?
without going to connections and search for users and then pair with them first ?
