these are very easily removable.

First go into the following folder: Program Files>Common Files>Research in Motion>AppLoader
Delete the file named:
Vendor.xml

Next, go into the following folder: Program Files>Common Files>Research in Motion>Shared>Loader Files>*select OS>Java

Remove these files:
net_rim_bb_medialoader_480x320_b.cod
net_rim_bb_medialoader_backgrounds_480x320_b.cod
net_rim_bb_medialoader_music_480x320_b.cod

you can also remove these if you dont want the vendor themes etc. It will not remove the Precision Zen & Precision Silver themes:
net_rim_bb_medialoader_114_five_icon_library.cod
net_rim_theme_102_zen_480x320_b.cod
net_rim_theme_114_480x320_b.cod
net_rim_theme_115_480x320_b.cod
net_rim_theme_119_zen_480x320_b.cod
net_rim_theme_122_zen_480x320_b.cod

Create a subfolder called Removed Icons, and move them to that folder. Then plug in your blackberry, run the desktop manager and update your phone.
