A non removable battery is a bigger issue. Manufacturers a while ago figured out if the battery cannot be removed the phone must be repaired or replaced. The end result is more sales. I would prefer a replaceable battery because the Li-Ion's do not last if allowed to drain too low. A simple replacement is much easier and lower cost.
