When those jailbreaks go wrong it's an ugly ugly thing. One of the great things about BlackBerrys is that they are rarely nuked beyond recovery.

To get a BlackBerry data plan on T-Mobile you have to either call TMO and have them add it to your account, or add it yourself through OLAM by logging into the website. Like dc/dc said, the 9650 was never designed to use GSM in North America. It's really just for overseas roaming. It won't ever work properly here on TMO, if it works at all. You can pick up a cheap BlackBerry that TMO actually supports and have much better luck.
