In addition to Penguin's comment, if you download your e-mail from the POP server to your local machine, this can't work anyway. Many people that have these sorts of accounts have them download the messages to Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or one of dozens of other e-mail clients.
On the other hand, if you "leave mail on server," it might be a different story.
