WoW, this has been covered for sometime now! Like JSanders said, It's a CDMA (VZW) provision that they have set into the the network for Blackberrys. My at&t phones, which are mostly Blackberrys let me type as long as I want. VZW stops you dead in your tracks at 160. So to all those saying it's not not network related issue... it is!
