I was replying with my assessment of what was stated in the OP... big BlackBerry fan, use a hosted exchange. So, my opinion is you will be happier staying with what you are comfortable with if it is working for you, if, that is, it is working for you.
Personally, I don't have anything against android devices or iphones. I say use what works best for you.
As far as the speed of the mobile network, I don't get it. I mean it isn't even on my list of what I'm looking for. EDGE was mostly good for me, with wifi available to me half the time. Now 3G is gravy. 4G? Meh. But that's me. It depends on you. Is mobile network speed a driver?
