Default There may be an IT policy on the device

Go to Options > Security Options > General Settings

If you see a IT Policy Name listed there then follow the directions below.

Download Desktop Manager 4.7 and install
Open your command prompt
Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader>
Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer
run the command "loader /resettofactory"

*** THIS WILL WIPE THE DEVICE ***

Backup your data first
