Hi guys I need yor help.

I have a blackberry on the Vodaphone network and I am about to get it unlocked as I have a three sim card.

Now I know when i get it unlocked it will work for calls/texts but how will I get it to work so I can use all the functions and e-mail.

I know 3 now have a blackberry network so do I need to contact them or will it work automatically when it's unlocked?

Please help me guys!

Contact 3 Customer Support and ask them to add the BlackBerry Data Plan to your account.

That will give you all of the BB functions.

Really, as last time I tried they said do you have a 3 blackberry and I said no (doh) but I wasn't sure if my blackberry would work fully even if I got the Vodaphone unlocked?

Do I have to do anything else?

If, as you said in the first post, 3 supports BlackBerrys, you have to get a BlackBerry Data Plan, and then go onto the 3 BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) web site - they will have the URL - and register your BB to obtain e-mail.

Ok I spoke to 3 just now for 30mins on the phone and after them doing an EMI check they said it is not possible as I don't have a 3 phone (it is now an unlocked vodaphone bb)

So that leaves me with 2 options...

1) Find another way around it so I can get the internet working, any ideas?
2) Sell it

Make sure you specifically cancel your BIS account with the previous carrier. Otherwise your PIN is still tied to that email account and you cannot set it up on the new network until it has been released.
