Default Has the Storm become old News ?

Looks like Verizon has moved on playing games with Apple and Microsoft -- look as if the storm is old news

I think verizon decided to let those with issues load what ever leaked OS version works and not worry about it anymore

Stable started at .113 .122 .132 now .141 here are four OS's any of which are day and night better than .075

I see Storm's being free with 2 year contract to finish clearing out the inventory --by the time we storm owners can upgrade it wil be to the LTE versions of the iPhone or Windows Mobile 7 phone or BB's next gen touch screen ...

Hopefully RIM will continue to update The storm as needed

Not a rant just what we storm owners seem to be facing

I guess if you are totally obsessed with the Storm and post every rumor and comment on every new development, then it may be old news. Until they come out with a new device, it is still their most current BlackBerry.

The OS versions are no different that what the Bold and Javelin customers have had. I count upwards of 16 versions of the 4.6 OS for the Bold and 10 versions for the Javelin.

The Storm is no different than any other BlackBerry.

Does that strike anyone as odd or off-putting, that a product would need so many updates to get up to speed??

I've had a PS3 for about 17 months, and the 4 or so updates have been essentially all feature enhancements, rather than bug fixes.

I've had just one OS on my current LG phone, just one OS on my previous 6 cell phones...

Until a few months ago, there were VERY few updates. It took AT&T one year to get the next release of the 8700 code released. Did that mean they weren't there? NO - it meant they weren't leaked as easily and as quickly.

A new update for DirecTV DVRs is available EVERY WEEK as part of their Cutting Edge (CE) program. If you don't want to update and test, then everyone can wait for the next carrier release.

You made a good point--released updates are few and far between for the Storm so anyone not going online to investigate this subject wouldn't be aware of all the versions mentioned on BB forums.
