Only had it about 3weeks and recently it has started to massively slow when opening unread texts (about a 5 second delay), any ideas how to solve this?

- have you popped the battery out and in

What applications are installed?

Which ones are running in the background (look for the Switch Applications selection after hitting the menu key twice)?

Applications are :- Facebook, MSN and the new BB messanger

Switch Application :- Messages, BB Pin, Home screen, Phone and browser

Back it up.
Wipe it out, reload the OS and start clean.
Nothing comes to mind.
