I took some photos and tried to do a 'sync' and now the photos have disappeared. They were stored in the phone, not on a card. I have no idea why / where they have gone. Does anyone know if they can be recovered? Thanks.

I dod a sync with the desktop software. Well, what I actually did was download the latest desktop software and then plug in thee BB. Then it did a sync (I think) and all my photos disappeared.

When you run desktop manager 6 for the first time and connect youi blackberry, there are some setup screens in desktop manager, and on one of the screens is a selection to delete all data (or something like that) on the media card. Sounds like you selected yes to that. At any rate, desktop manager did not just delete your pictures; there is something you did, even if you didn't realize what you were doing.

Take the card out of the BlackBerry and read it on a computer. See if you can undelete anything using an undelete utility. If files were simply deleted, you may be able to recover some or all of your pictures. If you have written files to the card since the event with desktop manager, then probably no recovery is possible. Likewise if the card was formatted or scrubbed.
