Default Fast Forward?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I listen mostly to DJ sets (which means "songs" can last up to 200min), is there a way to fast forward with this damn phone, because it's driving me nuts.. You can click on the progress bar and then tap the touch pad for 10min to reach the 100min mark, but that's insane.. Is there a way to speed up, or should I just drag along my mp3 player?

I'm not sure you know how a 8520 works, that taping is more of a fast sliding to right and it moves the progress bar 1-2sec forward each time you do it and that's about it, I tried just about everything.

I understood it could be different than what I use. But there is no way to drag the marker on the progress bar? That's the part that surprises me.

I was able to scroll up to the bar and click on it. Then you should be able to use the scrollpad to move it to the right/left. I think it moves in increments of about 5 seconds or it might depend on how fast you scroll/trackpad sensitivity. Then after you find the right time area just click the trackpad again to jump to that selection.

Netsky, something is off. I'm not sure what.
On my old 8820, the the pointer on the progress bar would drag for as long as I was rolling the trackball. It didn't seem to skip forward or backward in increment.

The 9700 for me is bizarre and hard to control. The amount of time forward or backward seems to factor in the speed with which I swipe the pad. I still haven't got a handle on it; but like 4.5 on the 8820, the skip is not in uniform increments with each roll/swipe.

So, to get to the point -> If you haven't done a battery pull, try it. With the power on, remove the battery for about 30 seconds, then try again and see if it's the same or not.

@aiharkness - Well the increment is 1 second only and not more..it used to slide well and quick before i upgraded my firmware..i could slide even in minutes. But after the upgrade the increment is not more than 1 second..its really annoying especially when your are watching a movie. (i have posted this issue in another thread too). Even the battery pull did not help. I think this is the firmware issue.
