Calendar Sync off

Why is it if I create an appointment in the calendar of my Blackberry amd after doing a sync it shows up a different time in Outlook? The date is fine but the hour can be off by 4 or 5 hours.
If I make the appointment in Outlook everything shows up right in my Storm.
