Have you checked the saved messages folder? Any missed calls?

Welcome to the forums!

Battery pull= remove the battery for 15-20 seconds, then put it back into the device. It may clear your phantom e-mail icon, and is generally a good "first step" in most troubleshooting situations.

What happens is, I'll get an email, or two and view them, but if I act too fast or it was busy doing something else to start with, it will show the message icon, and yet there is no message.
Its the memory thinking there is still a message, battery pulling will sorta "reset" that, so it wont show it anymore.

Thanks so much NDUB33, i took the battery out and lo and behold it worked. Now I am embarrassed that I didn't think of it before. Never mind, I have now established myself here and will be reading up on all the great tips.

Thanks again

Hey, I had this, but I had 3 inboxes. E-mail, sms and "messages" but I had the messages folder hidden
I had to unhide and read them
