Post BES Upgrade from 4.1.4 to 4.1.6

Please Login to Remove!

All,

I'm new to the forum and also to BES administration, so please pardon my ignorance.

I've have been asked to upgrade a company's BES from 4.1.4 to 4.1.6 for Microsoft Exchange. I understand that I have 4.1.4 MR5 (Hotfix) (bundle 159) , looking at Add/Remove Programs > View Support Information etc. I assume that they means that I have version 4.1 SP4 Maintenance Release 5.

I want to upgrade to version 4.1 SP6 Maintenance Release 8. I assume that the upgrade path is to first download and install Service Pack 6 and then install MR8 - I did read somewhere that Maintenance Releases are accumulative. Is this correct?

Finally, is there anything I need to install on the Microsoft Exchange Server?

Thanks!

FYI...Service Pack 7 is now available.

Don't forget to backup the database, it gives you this option during the upgrade.

it is a toss up as to which one to go to

If you goto SP6 MR8 you may have an issue going to SP7 after.

So read up on teh fixes if it pertains to you.
Goto SP6 MR7 or SP7.
Unless MR8 really has a fix you need.
