Hi,
There's some mailbox consolidation activity happening recently at my workplace.
The next day after the activity, there were several users experiencing error message " “Desktop email program unable to store message” when they were trying to send/receive emails.
The issue was resolved after the blackberry synchronization service restarted.
To add on, there's no restart on service/server after the activity. According to the support, it is not necessary for any restart after the migration.

According to support you can also handle up to 2000 users on a single BES ...

It really depends on the environment. I've seen a BES with 200 users (2x proc & 4 gig ram) be overloaded, and a BES with 4000 users twiddle its thumbs and not be busy at all.

Generally any time you perform significant Exchange maintenance you should plan on restarting BES services. Its unfortunate that it has to happen, but its often quicker / easier to plan a restart of BES with Exchange maintenance rather than troubleshoot issues by looking through the logs. (even though that is where the fun happens)
