I've started getting wireless web roaming charges today and they said every BB has to have a data plan and that I agreed to the WW charges in the contract.

Anyone know whats up with this?

This only started happening after I updated the OS.

It hacks me off that they just started doing this too me.

If all else fails I 'll just get a data plan. It's not the money, its the distraction factor and I'm trying to go without it.

I was on the phone with Sprint yesterday because I had to upgrade my BB to a BB Data Package (I was able to get away with a Sprint Vision package before). I was told that RIM let Sprint know 3 or 4 months ago that EVERY BB has to have a BB Data Plan. Supposedly this was because of being able to send PIN messages, and having free tethering, and some other reasons.

I don't know how acurrate the rep was, but this is what I was told.

I kind of understand it, because RIM wants usage data and some stuff and so Sprint has to get it to them.

But it seems like a misrepresentation to me, and that they released the 7130e before anyone was up to speed on it.
