7520 will not wipe clean!!!!!

Hello,
Somehow, I managed to screw up my 7520 and can no longer access my voicemail from my handheld or by landline, I either get a busy signal or when I call from home I get a message saying that the "Nextel customer is unavailble, please try again later". I'm assuming that it is a call forwarding issue, but everytime I call CS, I get a non-English rep that has no idea what I'm referring to, so I guess I'll never find out what my VM backdoor number is. In any event, when I bought the device used from Ebay about a month ago all I did was insert my sim and it set everything up automaticall, so I have been trying to no avail to wipe my handset completely.. I have tried the Wipe Handheld option in security settings and have also tried the Blackberry desktop wrong password thing and I still have all settings and apps intact. Does anyone have an idea how to completely erase all data? Hopefully there is someone out there who was a stubborn BB too.

P.S. I have tried searching but it keeps sending me to posts telling me to wipe of do the wrong password thingy and that isn't very helpful.
