Default Need to RE-PAY for Shazam when switching blackberrys?

Please Login to Remove!

I paid for Shazam for my 8900. It was working perfectly. I had to replace my phone and got a new 8900 (along with a new pin #). Shazam is asking me to repurchase the program. I tried reinstalling it from App world, but it's not listed on my installed programs (aka "My World") because Shazam was not purchased through app world.

I finally found a contact page on Shazam's website. I'm currently waiting for a reply from them. Based on how hard it was to find the contact info, I have a feeling I'm not going to get a response anytime soon.

What's the fix for this problem other than re-purchasing? Thanks in advance.

Where did you get the software? Did you get it directly from Shazam or a third party seller, i.e. Handango? If Shazam is a PIN-based software then you need to contact the people who sold you the software.

They can either give you the app based on you new PIN or you will have to buy it again. Hopefully it is the former.

Shazam will transfer your license to the new device. Just send them an e-mail and they will help you out. They are pretty quick to respond to help requests.

I just sent them an email as I upgraded from my 9000 to the 9700.

We will see if they transfer PIN's, thanks for the heads up!

Yep. You'll have to provide some proof of original purchase, but if you don't have it handy, they will tell you where to get the info. That doesn't take too terribly long either.

Wow all I can say is fantastic customer service, they emailed me back first thing this morning and I have been emailing back and forth to get it transfered.
