Default 1min 42sec boot time, 8830

Please Login to Remove!

My 8830 started booting VERY slow, @ 1 min 42 secs from battery insert to the password screen showing....

I'm running the newest OS, my file free when starting is 11731829 bytes.

My programs:

Google Apps -> Google Launcher, Google News, GMAIL
Google Maps 1.60
Yahoo Go!
Zagat to Go
Beyond 411
BerrySearch
(6 email accounts)
Opera Mini
TeleNav
Navizon
Chronos
DopeWars
BBLight


WHY AM I BOOTING SO DAM SLOW!?

That's pretty quick for a BlackBerry.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Without going into too much detail... there's lots that's going on in the background during bootup.

Just for comparison - on a T-Mobile 8800, with fewer applications loaded, it just took 1:45 to go from putting the battery in, to ready to put in the password. I'd say your wait was about right.

Folks need to realize that these little beasties are more than just a phone. Boot-up does a lot of stuff.

Oh I realize theres a bunch of stuff it just seems liek in the past week or so it jumped to wayyy longer than usual...so I was just askin...

BTW, Navizon is not mapped well...people only map it from freeways so I help map with my BT puck..
