Default General Failure on email replies to one address

Hi, all,

One of my users has a 9800 through AT&T and is setup with a BIS account to our corporate email, which is Exchange Online. Everything works fine except for one thing. He is unable to reply to messages received from a one email address. He can send new emails to that address but he can't reply to any that were sent from that person. Also, he can reply with no issue from his desktop but his BB won't do it. All other email addresses work fine.

If it makes a difference, the email address he is trying to reply to is a Google Business account.

Oh, and when look at the unsent message, it says "General Failure."

That's usually a bad email address. Something may be wrong with the formatting of that email address, like a space somewhere or a comma instead of a period. Best to edit that particular contact by re-entering the email address manually.

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought of but if I send a new email using the contact it works fine. It also works fine when I manually type out the email address. The only time it doesn't work is when he tries to reply to an email. I've looked at the email address on the original message to make sure that there wasn't some weird formatting and it's fine.

I am having the same issue that your user is reporting. I am not able to reply or forward from my personal email box. My Corporate one works fine. I've dropped and reinstalled service books. I am recevieving emails inbound - no problem.

I'm interested in your thoughts.
