Question Pearl 8100 Browser Freezing??

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Pearl 8100 running 4.5.0.124 (Platform 2.7.0.92) and all of a sudden the browser wont act correctly. I cannot bring up any bookmarks and from the "home" page: Goto: and Google search area, I cannot go to any of the bookmarks or history that are displayed there.

Menu button does not work and the back button doesn't work. I have to hit the end button to close the browser just to get anything to happen from the browser screen.

Anyone else having problems with the browser function on an 8100?

Cameron

There is a browser component in your service books. Resend your service books and see what happens. You may need to reinstall your OS.

In your browser options, you can also uncheck the first two boxes related to javascript

If the service books fail. Then Menu>Options>Advanced>Host Routing Tables>menu>Update now.

I am sure one of the two will work!

Service books didn't work.

Menu>Options>Advanced>Host Routing Tables>menu>Update now

I don't have the option to "Update Now".

Pressing the menu key I have the options to "View" "Register Now" or "Close"

Selecting a host routing Information entry I have the options to "Select" "Switch Input Language" or "Close"

Looks like I may have to re-install the OS...

Got the icon back with re-sending the service books again, but clicking on the icon doesn't open the browser.

I am going to try and re-install the 4.5 OS.
