Default Congress to probe BCS

Please Login to Remove!

Congress will probe the college football BCS system....

I would *hope* they have more important things to do since the economy is in shambles....

I posted it here because this could get political...

Congress to hold hearings to examine BCS - ESPN

eh, Republicans like Hatch have nothing better to do since Obama and the boys are usurping everything else Congress should have authority over.

Appearantly, they got bored with trying to get A-Rod and Roger Clements to quit taking steriods.

Wirelessly posted

I agree w Lunkhead. The fact that this is even on the radar right now, with everything else going on in this country, just screams "politics" to me.

Seriously? Congress has no business sticking their nose in sports. Sucky economy or otherwise.

ooh..."qualifying for millions of dollars paid out each year"...why do I foresee bigtime schools who spend bigtime money to win bigtime money being asked to return their winnings or share with the little fish?

I'm sure the recently unemployed and others concerned by the poor economy are seriously following this debate in congress.

It kind of reminds me of what happened in FL last year.

yeah this is a waste. honestly, politicians in general work too few hours and get paid way too much. Make congress work 9-5, 9 months or more of the year and remove all lobbyist benefits from them and maybe they will realize how out of touch they are.

and your point is? my opinion on this is posted above.

i think both sides are voicing support on this, and they are all wrong to do anything more than talk about it.

I *think* Obama is on record saying he wants a playoff system... Don't know if that means he supports congress looking into it or not but one would *assume* so....

Well, that probably reflects the people you talk to more than reality.

Its everyone I meet that has ever admitted voting for him. Not just people I know.
It comes from news articles in the local papers and local news reports. Remember I live in the south and there is a large black population here.
