I'm sure the recently unemployed and others concerned by the poor economy are seriously following this debate in congress.

yeah this is a waste. honestly, politicians in general work too few hours and get paid way too much. Make congress work 9-5, 9 months or more of the year and remove all lobbyist benefits from them and maybe they will realize how out of touch they are.
