Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

You don't say if you have BIS or BES setup, but if it is BIS, it doesn't work that way.

Dont know the answer to that. It is supplied by my employer - my colleagues who have the exact same model dont have this problem - when they read a mail on the pearl it shows as read on their PC.

Hello,
i have the same problem. And it's something that only happens on the BB pearls.
We have a BES with Lotus Domino. Bes is version 4.1.3.16
Domino server version is 5.0.11
Our carrier is Vodafone Spain

we have several 7290's, 8700's, and one 8707. all of them work fine
but all the pearls we have have this sync problem. Also, they lose some service books (for example, attachment service book) once in a while.

We've asked to the Tech service, and have done all the things they told us to do: delete all software and reinstall it on a device, upgrade to the very last device software, upgrade the BES to 4.1.3.16 (we were previously with 4.0 version) but we haven't solve the problem.

Is there anybody that could help both of us? thanks a lot.

If you are using a Lotus Domino Server you will not be able to update this device on the server

you will have to update the BES with the drivers from the DTM 4.2 to enable this to work

you need to find out what setup you are using, bis or bes? (I suspect bes)
what server you are using ?, if any?

Finally i got all my pearls but one working fine (at least nobody reported me the error again)

i had to wipe completely all the devices, and load them again with the last 8100 loader software i found on the web. In some of them i had to do it several times, and now they seem to work fine.

thank you for your help!
