Default My Phone number

Please Login to Remove!

I have just got my first BB, and I must say I am impressed with it. However, when I use the phone application, I get at the top where my number should be displayed, "My number: Unknown number"
I read the help file, and all it said was my number should be displayed there.

Any idea on why it isn't, or more to the point, how to get it to display it?

Cheers

I get the same on o2. I'm using an unbranded Bold.

Press the green dial key > Options > General Options > SHOW MY NUMBER = YES.

Save.

I already have that and my number doesn't come up when I'm dialling out. However when I dial to another phone, my number shows up. Very odd.

Look at Options > Advanced > SIM card. Edit and make sure number is saved to your SIM card.

Hey, I had the same 'problem', found this post and it works too. However, what exactly is the benefit of having my number displayed?

Also, seconds after doing that, I received a msg from BlackBerry telling me 'your handheld has been registered with the wireless network'. What does that mean (i've been using all the BB functions fine already)......
