I'm completely new to this and am setting up BES for the first time. I've added a user, set the activation password, and now tried to connect the phone. Initializing doesn't stop and the phone gives the error message, "The Server is not responding. Please contact your System Administrator"? I've been searching like mad for troubleshooting tips and more but have had now luck after a day and half now. Help?

I'm not entirely sure how that's relevant at this point.

The user should be checking the Data Plan provisioning on their line (suggested above and is likely the cause of the trouble) and also checking to see if the etp.dat activation email is reaching the user's mailbox.
The activation email sometimes gets intercepted by spam/antivirus filters and fails to reach the mailbox.

True enough - you would get all kinds of SRP errors if the server wasn't reaching the outside world. There is no need to open up any inbound ports for the server.

Murphious alreaddy touched on the data plan possabilities, so I didn't wanna go there again, always good to go one step at a time, would have just been my next logical step.
