Default Blackberry suddenly turned off

Please Login to Remove!

This morning I put my Blackberry in the backpack and went to work. When I took it out of the backpack at work it was turned off. It seemed suspicious to me as I charged the battery yesterday. I wanted to turn it on but nothing appeared on the screen. I plugged it to the computer now and the BB was normally detected in device manager. There's a battery sign on the screen (with bolt) and if I press any button nothing happens. Did this happen to anyone? Should I wipe the phone with Jl_Cmder? The phone was working just fine before. I don't think this has occured because it was in the same pocket as iPod in the backpack?

What did you do with the device before you placed it in the backpack?

Did it get wet?

Might be the battery. Visit the local cell phone store and try another battery.

Funny but after some time connected to the PC it turned on, charging and saying Low battery. It's very strange as the battery was at least 3/4 full before. The phone wasn't wet or anything. Will wait till it charges now.

Seems you ran the battery all the way down. Perhaps you left an app running that hits the network frequently, or maybe the browser open to an active page. Look for apps you have that run in the background when closed. Make sure to exit whatever you want trully closed when you are done with it.
