I just got the 8130 from Sprint and I am loving it (still tetering on taking it back and getting an iPhone, but that is another topic)

Only thing is, I cannot get Google Maps to work.

When I use the 'google mobile updater' and select maps it says 'download fails' and when I download it directly off of Google's mobile WAP page I first get the error "This application does not contain a signature. It might not be from a trusted source. Do you want to proceed", and I click 'yes'. Then it downloads and when I run it I get this error

Error starting gmaps$2d164$2dm2_L1:
Module 'gmaps$2d164$2dm2_L1' does not match the codfile timestamp of sibling module 'gmaps$2d164$2dm2_L1-1'

When I go into the applications directory it just shows up as a picture similar to the explorer window on Windows.

Any ideas?

You need to use the direct link to a specific google maps version...search in this forum on Google Maps and you'll find the thread w/the appropriate link to the right version.
