Yow. No, you can't store the contacts on the microSD card.

Perhaps time to introduce your boss to the concept of 'Lookup' of the GAL? Is he really going to be using ALL 30,000 of those??

You must have fun supporting him

yeah. it's really annoying to handle those 30.000 contacts.

i finally got all 29.581 contacts on bis blackberry pearl,
at 78% the memory was full and it started deleting mails to get more space.
took about 24hours to synchronize the whole bunch but eventually all 30k contacts were synchronized ;)

one week after sync i tried to change some contacts -> crash
no more syncing of emails and contacts since
and he can t use the contacts in his contact list anymore

Luckily i didn t have to fix it because i'm already working on a new task for him.
getting his brand new HTC Touch Dual to run with blackberry connect and 30k contacts to sync

in my point of view it doesn t make any sense.

but he had these 30.000 contacts printed in his cars etc. up till now
so i think he really wants them and doesn't want to argue about.

Could they be divided into different categories? That way in can sync what he needs based off of what client or type of business he's doing? Just a thought...
