Any News on New Blackberry Client for Mac?
Please Login to Remove!
Hey , thought i'd toss this one out there, to see if there was any news on a new blackberry client for the mac. Since I know pocketmac is an OK client, wish there was something more robust like the pc desktop 4.3!

Have you tried Missing Sync from Mark/Space?
I feel it is a better product than Pocketmac.

I heard that Apple was discontinuing the OS product. Maybe that's just a rumor, though.

I heard this rumor also.
They'll be pre-loading all Macs with AmigaOS starting in Q4-08.

Well, The Missing Sync is ok - but as it, for whatever reason, doesn't allow you to install software on the BB it's of limited use to me.

Just go to Tiger direct and pick up a cheap reconditioned laptop. I've seen them in the $500 range. Perfect for Windows only programs. Either that, or buy a virtualization program, such as Parallels, which will allow you to run Windows in a virtual environment within Mac OS. Or you could dual boot, using Boot Camp.

I can easily do the parallels or give them a windows laptop, but over here at our company we have mac only users which means they need mac only solutions. Due to our policies and guidelines, our other half of our IT dept. won't allow virtual desktops. Also it'll be quite confusing for the user to have both, and just for only one application.
So this is why I'm just sitting here counting my ducks and hopefully praying something comes out of RIM. But i won't hold my breath like you guys recommended haha!

That is the advantage of unity mode on vmware fusion. It isnt a seperate environment to work in. Windows programs (like desktop manager) are seemlessly integrated into OSX and sit in the dock like normal OSX programs.

Well, I'm sorry to say it, but the best choice is still a Windows PC running Desktop Manager!

Junior1790, I also have a month old macbook pro w leopard and a curve 8310 and finally got missing sync to work properly. It took alot of time and absolutely no help from them. No question things worked smoother (regarding dm) on my pc but I still love my mac. I finally got both missing sync and pocket mac to work. Had a few problems with entourage and pocket mac but things are working fine now. What I finally did was uninstall pocket mac, updated mac os, reset sync history, backup and restore ical and address book, then reload missing sync, go into missing sync settings and make sure the sync file is set to entourage, changed the ical dates to last six months and forward six months and it finally all worked. It syncs fine with entourage and ical and address book. I am using entourage only now. If I can share any more of my experience, happy to, feel free to pm me. I know how frustrating it can be. There are many who are not having any problems at all, seems like you just have to have everything set just right for the puzzle to fit.

Wirelessly posted (7100t: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)
Doesn't @pple require a technically license for running on their OS and devices? I'd guess they'd move to block DM.
