WTF is up with BIS lately...?
Please Login to Remove!
Not just BIS of course the wide spread outages to BES also and I know RIM is expanding but dam BIS gmail laggs now! Took 13 minutes for an email to come down yesterday, and 5 minutes for another email today. I know I sound ridiculous but these are time sensitive emails, WTF does RIM have up their A**. Had my 8830 since July I believe in 07 and got the newest OS...but cmon this is just retarded...

I haven't had a single problem with my gmail on BIS lately. I get it on the berry before in outlook and before the web client.

Its a two fold problem. 1. explosive growth in BB users 2. routing all traffic through a single point of failure. While #1 is good for RIM, #2 continues to plague them. Until they solve the limitations of #2, they will never be more then a niche product to business users. While some here may be ok with that, RIM has its eye on the prize, which includes both business and commercial users.

Believe me, BFEINZIMER, RIM is not having an outage or delay today. You would know it much clearer than with 13 minute delays.
That is more likely your carrier or server issues causing the delay.

Well, at least you have your priorities right, and not wasting your day watching email be delivered (or not be).

Correct me if I am wrong but unless on BES instant delivery shouldn't be expected as BIS polls every 15 minutes or so!
Isn't it possible that gmail or carrier is problem and not RIM?
We have been spoiled by yahoo and gmail with fast efficient email but it isn't a guaranteed thing!

Yahoo, Gmail, Google Domains, some few GoDaddy hosted accounts, and @yourcarrier.blackberry.net addresses are instant or close to instant.
So, what email server is it that is hosting this delayed mail?

I'm not seeing any issues. BES emails deliver within 10 seconds, gmail within a minute or so, vzw.blackberry.net within 30 seconds. The only time in the past month I've seen a delay was when my son turned it off and I didn't know it for about 15 minutes. So, those emails took about 15 minutes to deliver.

could be Google itself you know, or your setup within Gmail. I havent had any issues with Gmail (excluding when the entire infrastructure was down) and i get the emails on my device before i see them in my gmail inbox, or google talk notifies me. Everyone is quick to blame RIM, but there are MANY other components to the network
