Hi, we are doing some testing on BB bold and when our app try to use the camera to take a pic, the following error comes.

"Up to the point of taking the picture, it works fine, although the picture can not be saved and a popup window appears with a message "yyy app has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the fire wall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT Policy".

Following this, I get a message "yyy picture error, could not save the image", followed by "Uncaught exception: Application yyy (144) is not responding 'process terminated' ".

1. Current firmware on the device is 4.6.0.112.
2. set all the default permissions to "Allow"
3. also tried to do Options> Security Options> Firewall>Status: Disable
but it is not allowing to disable.
4. the BB is in BES....is this anything to do with a BES

has anybody come across this error while using camera? Any advice/help is much appreciated.

It sounds to me that your BES is restricting the use of your camera. The IT policy can stop your using the camera with ease.

It sounds like you are using a company phone or your phone on your company BES and they have instructed the BES people to prevent you from using your camera.
