Anyone knows answers to these two questions please?

When messages or emails arrive; red led flashes. But after a certain amount of time it flashes no more. Is this default behaviour?

Calendar remainders; can I make them sound or do they just visually flash.

New message indicator does eventually stop flashing by itself. Not sure if that can be controlled.

Calendar noise is controlled by the active profile. Either select a different profile, or edit the one you want and choose the calendar ringtonexxx8230;

New message indicator flashes red on my Bold until I have opened each and every new email. Calendar notifications can be sound and vibrate. Using an unbranded,unlocked Bold on ATT with .167 software.

I'm pretty certain that you do NOT need to open each and every e-mail. You can get the indicator to stop flashing by opening the most recent message. Anything older is not enough to trigger the indicator. Take it from someone who leaves a LOT of messages unread...

Are you sure? The typical behavior of all BlackBerry devices I have owned is for the message indicator light (red light) to stop flashing after a period of time. I believe it is 15 minutes, but not sure.

I see this behavior on my Bold running .162. Are you saying that if you received a new message, SMS, etc. on .167 and didn't check it for hours, the light would still be flashing?

I just re-read your post, and I may have misunderstood what you were talking about.
