Default Media Card Security

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if there is a way to password protect just the pics and videos on my media card when viewed on the phone.

I don't really want to password protect my device. I just don't want people browsing my photos and videos when my phone is just laying around.

No, there is not. Sorry.

You know what you need to do... if you require that.

the way i protect my pictures is i put my card into the computer then go into the blackberry folder then right click on whatever folder you wanna protect and make the folder hidden. then the phone doesnt scan those pictures and if i ever wanna look at them i go to media --> explore --> media card --> blackberry and then i press the blackberry button to bring up the menu and it shows all your ooptions. click the option that says "show hidden" and your hidden folders show up. then just open it and you can also select if you want to view them in thumbnails or list so its practically like the media way only a few more steps for privacy

i hope i explained that well enough...

You did explain it fine, Collin.

Just not password protected, but hidden.

Go to your Media icon > Explore > Media Card > BlackBerry > Pictures > create a folder, name it etc., move your crap there > back in the pictures folder > highlight the crap folder > Menu > Hide.
