Default Transferring info from a LOST BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

So is it possible to transfer information (backed up on a computer) from a LOST (or stolen) BlackBerry device to a new (replacement) ?

I know you can easily transfer information if you have BOTH devices (old and new), but I want to know if it's possible if the old one is not present...

Wirelessly posted

If you have a backup of your device then you can use the advanced option to restore the information to any BlackBerry. Note however that the information contained within the backup will only be as current as the last time you did that backup. No new information will be in that backup.

I backup every friday, so at most I'm out a week.

Thankfully this is just a what-if.

I have info from old on my computer (actually from both myself and my wife). I'm in great shape since I use BES, but my wife's Storm is BIS (so as others pointed out she will "be as current as the most recent backup.")

I use smrtguard for my backup. I have it set to backup all of my contacts, emails, sms, events, memos, and tasks everyday @ 7:00pm. You can go to the website and view it, or directly from the BlackBerry. It's a GREAT program. Saved me when I updated my phone at someone else's house and it erased ALL of my info on my Storm.
