Default push to talk

hello all. im new to the blackberry forum. just bought an 8900 and was wondering if there was a way to install the app for push to talk. my fiance has the 8310 and we want to use the ptt. her phone has the potion but mine doesnt...

Is PTT supported by your carrier? If it is, ask them. If it isn't there's not much you can do.

i have at&t and they do have push to talk but my 8900 doesnt have the program. i wish there was a way to extract the program out of my 8310 and copy it to my 8900

i would check the at&t website. i would assume it would be there.

Push to talk is exclusive to nextel since its used over the IDEN network Tmobile is EDGE so both are not compatible at all. You would either have to go to sprint/nextel or get a boost phone.(if PTT is really that important to you)

So with that in mind its impossible with the 8900

Nevermind I was thinking of Nextel/Iden PTT and not at&t's ptt there are 3rd party apps that can do PTT on Blackberry devices but they are not free. I was thinking of maybe doing a full backup of your wifes phone and try loading the apps on your 8900 by using the advanced restore.
