I have a blackberry 8100 with OS: 4.2.1.108 and would like to know how to use the Blackberry Messenger on my phone. I go to it and when I go to add a contact it just goes to my phonebook. On my friends phone it asks for a PIN or email. Why is this thats its not asking me that?

It is asking you to select a contact to send an invitation to.
Pick a contact, and it will allow you to send them an invite.

I did pick a contact but nothing happens, it just takes me to there number and then when I click on the option and select send to contact list it says empty and I can not add them.

Any help?

Same thing here until yesterday... I eventually had to enter in my friend's PIN #'s to get it to work. Works well with the PIN entered.

When I would type in their email, it would goto their email account but not their BB. Weird... possibly user error.

PIN works good though.
