I downloaded "I heart Radio" app to my storm on verizon. I wanted to listen to Cleveland Browns NFL (I know they suck, don't ask me why) without having to bring a second device with me while traveling.

I was able to get my stations just fine and then when it hit 1pm yesterday I did not get the game. Is there any a copyright issue listening to NFL games on the storm? Or was the radio station I am listening to do on a delay basis?

To get an NFL game live on the radio, is there something I can download for free?

Thats strange. I havent tried but you should have received the game. I will try with the Dolphins tonight in my market

There was something playing on the station that was supposed to air the Browns game at about 1:15pm yesterday. I had this problem on both the Browns AM and FM stations which carry the game. When I got back into my car and turned on the radio, they both worked just fine.

Perhaps it's some kind of time delay.

The problem is that the stations don't have the rights to broadcast the game over the Internet, the NFL sells those rights seperately from the OTA rights (ESPN has the contract, I believe). If you go to the stations website and try to listen to it there you will find the same thing, the NFL game isn't broadcast on their online feed.

Had no idea listening to an NFL over the game is differnet than listening to the same game over my AM radio. Guess I can stop wasting time trying to download different blackberry radio apps.

I went to the Browns website and tried to stream from there but it said I needed to install flash which apparently is not available.

Do I have any other options?

other than listening on the radio i dont think there's anything else you can do. flash is not supported on the BlackBerry.

Yes. We are about a year away from the Flash technology on these devices.
