Default Blackberry browser http error 400

Please Login to Remove!

Hi my blackberry browser does not work. I get an error HTTP error 400: bad request

Details: unknown host mobile.blackberry.com:80

If I change my browser to Vodafone Live! live this works fine.

I have downloaded facebook and vodafone maps apps and these don't work. They come up with a netwrok error message unable to access data services. When I check the browser settings I see MDS browser configuration is set to BlackBerry Browser but there is no option to change to Vodafone Live!.

Am I right in assuming these problems are linked? If so, any ideas on a solution?

Marc

Do you have a Blackberry data plan on your account, or is your Blackberry activated on a BES?

The BlackberryBrowser is usually only configured on BES devices. If this is the case, your BES administrator may be blocking other access.

Hi

Yes it's on a BES. I checked one of my colleagues phones. He has a third option Internet Browser which is his default setting for Browser and MDS.

if yes, you can ask to your IT Admin, about IT policy using browsing data

Yep both BES users just a different blackberry. I'll speak to the IT admin next week then.
