The new BB OS for the bold 9700 5.0.0.593 disables the standby button - even taking the battery out does not help , the only way to hve this function back is to reload the OS 5.0.0.351

Yes, that's true... RIM has changed the way the buttons work. It's been posted ad nauseum across the internet...

As per my orginal post - with OS 593 the 'normal' button on top does not work , i needed to reload OS 351 and it wokrs again
