Is there a shortcut to lock the keys on the blackberry 8700?

Holding down the * key for a few seconds works on the 7100T. I believe for the 8700 it's something like ALT plus * or something.

if you set dial from home screen to off, just press k

ALT-Enter if dial from home is turned on.

Program the center button between the phone buttons to lock the key board. Go to Settings, Options, Screen/Keyboard. Works very well and you will be able to unlock by double cliking the track wheel.
