Coming from a Palm background, there were customizable options that allowed you to turn off e-mail functions at specifc times without turning off phone functionality. Is there such an option with a BB? By the way, I use a 7250 with 4.0 OS.

I dont think so. Mail comes over the cell network.
You could make a custom profile to give no alert for the mail, although the "Phone Only" one already does that.
