Default Outlook Connector for Domino and BB Messages

Please Login to Remove!

We are a Lotus Domino shop and we have a handful of users that are using Outlook as their mail client via the Outlook Connector for Domino. However, we are noticing that whenever these "Outlook" users send a mail to a user with a BB, the BB only displays the subject and nothing in the body. Has anyone come across anything similar to this.

Thanks much!

I am experiencing the same issues. My company uses BES and Lotus Notes. I am using MS Outlook 2003 with the Domino Connector. Whenever I send emails from MS Outlook 2003 using either richtext or HTML emails, recipients viewing the message with their BlackBerry (all BB's as far as I know, but I have personally confirmed this on the BlackBerry 8700 - Cingular) see blank messages. The subject is populated though. I also notice when I look at my BB's outgoing messages, they appear to be blank.

When I view the email in MS Outlook, Lotus Notes, or any other browser, the message appears fine.

Now when I send emails using plaintext messages, the recipient DOES see the entire message. So as far as I know, the issue has something to do with using richtext / HTML vs. plaintext.

This seems to be a relatively recent thing as of a month ago or so. Does anyone know if BB released a patch that might be causing this?

RIM / blackberries do not support HTML in email messages. The problems will vary from one company to another. Fact is though, if you view an HTML message on a blackberry it will not display properly. That's it.
