When it is lagging and sluggish, have you tried a hard reset (remove battery for about 30 seconds)? Does performance improve afterward?

What have you been doing with the Bold as far as installing applications and themes prior to the start of the poor performance? What have you done so far to try and fix it?

What applications do you have running when performance gets bad? What applications in particular are running in the background and accessing data? Have you tried exiting out of all applications when you are done with them and disabling running in the backgroud?

Plenty of people are happy with the 9700. You loved it a few days ago. Something you've done or are doing is probably the clue to the poor performance. Once you figure it out, you can decide if it something you can deal with or if it's a deal breaker.

The blackberry is not for everyone. He loved it the other day. Apparently when the excitement wore off he realized it wasn't what he wanted after all. We can just be happy he wasn't married to it.
