Cannot open BB Bold 9000 camera

Hello,
Just stumbled upon this forum and it's good to find an active BB forum.
My BB Bold 9000 has recently encounted a problem where the camera will not open up.
I get the "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again." message. I have nothing open and no programs installed. I have done a soft reset (alt, shift, delete), removed the battery and also done a full restore in security/general settings/factory reset.
I am currently running OS 4.6 and never had any problems with in the future, I'm not sure why it's doing it now? Nothing has changed. I'm am in the process of downloading the new OS 5.0 and hopefully that might fix it but does anyone know why or what the problem could be?
